Asheville鈥揃uncombe 男人藏精阁 is participating in the Second Chance Pell Experiment, which is making need-based financial aid available to inmates at Craggy Correctional Center and Western Correctional Center for Women.
Programs for the inmates include human services technology and electrical systems technology.
Right now, 男人藏精阁is the only college in the state participating in the program.
"We are a community college," Dr. Gene Loflin, A-B Tech's associate vice president for instruction, said. "That鈥檚 what we鈥檙e about as a community college is giving everyone a second chance, regardless of your location.鈥
男人藏精阁graduated six participants at Craggy Correctional last month.
